Job summary

Google is seeking a software engineer to advance AI and ML initiatives for EdgeTPU-enabled devices. The role involves leading a small cross-functional team, developing and optimizing ML models for EdgeTPU, and integrating training and production workflows with ML tooling.

You will collaborate with model developers and the broader Google team to enhance performance on Pixel phones and related hardware, while solving complex problems across software and hardware boundaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, related technical field, or relevant experience.
• 4 years of experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
• 4 years of experience building ML models or reducing computational and memory costs of ML models (e.g. quantization, sparsification, pruning).

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of engineers with different skills.
• Develop and optimize ML models for EdgeTPU (eg Pixel phones).
• Work with the ML model development team to develop, update and maintain model analysis tools.
• Work with ML model developers to integrate their production and training methods into the developed tools.
• Work with the Google team to optimize the experience and use EdgeTPU.
