Job summary

KRAFTON Americas is seeking a data science professional to develop ML models for game security. You will analyze large-scale game logs and user behavior data to detect anomalies and cheating, and improve detection systems within KSS.

You will collaborate with security engineers, game studios, and other stakeholders, evaluate model performance, and refine features and detection logic to support enforcement. California-based role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience in ML/CS/Statistics.
• Experience with ML-based modeling projects such as anomaly detection, classification, prediction, or pattern analysis.
• Ability to analyze large-scale log and event data using Python, SQL, or similar tools.
• Understanding end-to-end data workflow from log cleaning to model evaluation.
• Experience improving ML models based on FP/FN analyses and objective alignment.
• Ability to define problems independently and drive data-based improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve ML models to detect abnormal user behavior and cheating in games.
• Detect anomalies by analyzing large-scale game logs, user behavior data, and security events.
• Analyze cheating patterns, identify detection features, and design/enhance detection logic.
• Support data analysis for security operations and enforcement response.
• Design and visualize metrics to improve KSS detection and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with game studios, security engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate detection model performance, analyze false positives/negatives, and improve model quality.
