Job summary

IBM Consulting invites applications for a Machine Learning Developer Intern (January 2027 - 4 months) based in Canada (Toronto or Montreal). This fixed-term internship focuses on applying data science, ML, and GenAI tools to real client and internal projects on cloud platforms.

You'll join a fast-paced team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, delivering enterprise-scale ML solutions while developing your skills in Python, ML frameworks, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated familiarity with machine learning, data mining, or statistics through internships, projects, or coursework.
• Experience in scripting languages (Python preferred) or strong CS fundamentals.
• Hands-on with GenAI tools and LLM concepts (prompt-engineering, RAG, etc.).
• Able to communicate ideas clearly within cross-functional teams.
• Eligible to work full-time for 4 months starting January 2027.
• Fluency in French required for candidates in Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, develop and deploy ML solutions to enterprise-scale problems.
• Join a fast-paced consulting team of Partners, PMs, Data Scientists, Architects and Engineers.
• Learn and apply industry-leading ML technologies on cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, Azure, AWS, or Edge).
