Job summary

CVG Airport is hiring a Fuel Farm Operator to sample and test products for quality control, and perform inspections and basic maintenance on fuel facilities and vehicles. You will handle receiving/dispatching fuels and support maintenance activities in a safety‑minded outdoor environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (or equivalent), a valid driver's license, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends. Pre-employment testing is required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
  • Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing and a physical.
  • Must obtain/maintain airport badges/seals and be at least 18.
  • Must be available and flexible for variable shifts, including weekends/holidays.
  • Work is primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
  • Samples and tests products for quality control and performs basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.
  • Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems.
  • Performs routine inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards.
  • Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines to prevent spills/contamination.
  • Maintains safe work practices and log entries for fuel transactions and maintenance.

Role Purpose

The role of the Fuel Farm Operator is to be responsible for sampling and testing products for qualitycontrol,andperforming inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.

What you will be doing

  • Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
  • Samples and tests products for quality control and performance inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.
  • Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles.
  • Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
  • Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination
  • Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures
  • Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance
  • Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Can meet Company's Attendance and code of conduct standards

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to safelylift upto 70 pounds.
  • Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.
