Job Overview

We are hiring Food Processing Mixers at our Nashville Food Processing and Packaging Plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks including general housekeeping, rework, packaging preparation, product packaging, and food manufacturing.
• Follow mix instructions and provide clear, concise documentation of production work.
• Operate and tend machines to mix or blend a wide variety of food products such as edible oils, dressings, margarines, spreads, shortenings, cooking sherries, vinegars, cooking wines, etc.
• Monitor and regulate gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, and thermometers to adjust raw materials, mixing temperatures, speeds, and ensure product quality.
• Operate CIP skids, perform line component cleaning and breakdowns.
• Maintain chemical handling procedures including PPE usage.
• Fill out appropriate documentation such as product movement, batch sheets, ingredient additions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum education).
• 0-2 years of related experience in food processing or manufacturing (experience operating mixing machines, blending, or related roles preferable).
• Basic understanding of food manufacturing automation processes, tools, and machines.
• Knowledge of recipe construction/adjustment and understanding basic mix variations (salt content, moisture, color).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, stand, bend, kneel, work in confined spaces and at heights, and wear a respirator.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive problem‑solver and willingness to work shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, and work in confined spaces and heights. Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, and wear a respirator.
