Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer with locations across the Southeast, is seeking a mixer operator to batch concrete and maintain production flow. You will operate one mixer, batch concrete on time, adjust moisture, and ensure safety and quality standards throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, communicating with foremen and QC staff, loading formulas, and cleaning equipment daily.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safety and Quality rules to maintain a safe work environment and produce high-quality products.
• Communicate with bed foremen and QC personnel to determine concrete formula and required cubic yards.
• Enter formulas from computer, adjust moisture content as needed and ensure accurate batching.
• Monitor computer screens to verify weights and mixing according to the formula.
• Inject steam as needed to batch concrete at requested temperature and direct equipment operators.
• Discharge concrete into delivery equipment and supervise mixer operation; substitute for operators when needed.
• Clean mixer and work area daily; assist with miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Summary of Primary Functions:

Operate one mixer for maximum production to BDS. Ensure that concrete is batched on a timely basis with minimal downtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
• Communicate with bed foremen and QC personnel to determine concrete formula desired and number of cubic yards required.
• Call up formula from computer, enter number of cubic yards, and adjust moisture content as necessary.
• Monitor computer screen to ensure all components are weighed and mixed as required by the formula.
• Inject steam into mixture as required to batch concrete at requested temperature.
• Direct Equipment Operators to appropriate mixer.
• Discharge concrete into delivery equipment.
• Mix concrete manually when small amounts are needed.
• Clean mixer and work area daily; includes chipping and greasing as necessary.
• Substitute for Equipment Operators to deliver concrete as necessary.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Job Specifications or Qualifications :

Education and/or Experience : High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
