Job summary

Kudron Ready Mix in Oklahoma City is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver. You will operate a heavy diesel mixer truck, perform pre-trip inspections, and feed concrete to job sites using the rear chute. You will maintain the drum and truck to prevent buildup and ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

This non-exempt role offers a full benefits package, a 32-hour guarantee, 401(k) match, and weekly pay. You will work with dispatch to coordinate deliveries and maintain professional equipment and appearance.

Responsibilities

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a ready-mix driver, you will operate a heavy diesel truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer, consisting of a revolving drum to mix the concrete components during transport to construction sites. You will be responsible for maintaining the materials in a liquid state through agitation or turning of the drum, until delivery at the worksite. Once on site, you will maneuver the truck appropriately to feed the concrete mixture to designated areas with a gravity fed chute on the back center of the truck. This is a Non-Exempt position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections.
• Walk around the area before backing mixer to make sure it’s safe to back in.
• Monitor truck and company equipment to ensure proper operation and professional appearance.
• Spray truck surfaces with protective compounds to resist concrete adhesion and for specialized cleaning.
• Maneuver truck into loading position for Being batched at the plant and unloading positions at the customer job sites.
• Operate mixer to produce concrete from sand, gravel, cement, and water. Adjust mixture (slump) as requested by customers at job sites.
• Assemble chutes and operate levers to release concrete per customer request.
• Clean truck after loading and after each delivery to prevent concrete build up in drum and on the truck.
• Complete delivery paperwork, collect payment from customers when required and keep records of daily activities.
• Operate equipment, such as mixer truck controls, CB radios, GPS equipment to exchange necessary information with dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Follow all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a Class B CDL.
• Must have updated medical card.
• Must be able to follow directions on the tickets.
• Must have good communication skills, active listening, good judgement, and decision making.
• Self-motivated, self-starter.
• Reliability, dependability, honesty, and integrity is a must.
