Job summary

Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic in San Angelo, Texas, is seeking an experienced mixed animal veterinarian to join a collaborative team. Practice high-quality medicine across a varied caseload for companion and large animals in a welcoming West Texas community.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.
• DEA/BNDD eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; over 25 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals and large animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medication.
• Provide end-of-life care counseling.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
