Job summary

CVH in Livingston, MT is hiring full-time veterinary technicians and assistants for a busy mixed-animal practice. We value a team-oriented, family-like culture and offer opportunities for growth, after-hours care, and supportive mentorship.

Preferred candidates have 1–2 years clinical experience and licensure eligibility. The clinic features an in-house lab, imaging, anesthesia support and a commitment to preventative care within clients' budgets.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, email) or comfort learning new software.
• Excellent phone and email etiquette.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Daily kennel duties on weekdays and rotating weekend kennel duty.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments: scheduling, client communication, diagnostics, invoicing, dispensing medications.
• Run bloodwork and basic lab diagnostics as needed.
• Take radiographs as required and assist with surgical procedures.
• Prepare and dispense medications and food; input charges.
• Discharge surgical patients and provide post-op care instructions.
• Assist with treatment of hospitalized patients and ranch calls as needed.
• Coordinate doctor schedules with front desk staff and participate in staff meetings.
