Job summary

Crete Veterinary Clinic in Crete, Nebraska, is seeking a Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian to join our experienced team. Our caseload is about 50% large animal and 50% small animal, offering diverse casework and mentorship.

You will provide preventive, diagnostic, medical, and surgical care, work with cow/calf operations, equine care, and small ruminants, and have access to in-house diagnostics and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Active Nebraska veterinary license or ability to obtain.
• DEA license or ability to obtain upon hire.
• USDA accreditation or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive, diagnostic, medical, and surgical care for small animals.
• Work with cow/calf operations, including pregnancy checks, calving cases, and herd-health programs.
• Provide primary equine care, reproductive services, and foal care.
• Treat small ruminants and other livestock species.
• Utilize in-house CBC/chemistry analyzers and digital radiology.
• Perform dentistry and soft-tissue surgery, with opportunities for select orthopedic procedures.
• Provide ambulatory large animal services using the clinic truck.
• Participate in rotating large animal after-hours emergency schedule.
