Job summary

Cavalry Construction & Restoration is hiring a full-time Mitigation Technician to support water, mold, and fire damage restoration for residential and commercial properties. The role emphasizes professionalism, prompt responses, and clear customer communication in stressful situations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a related environment, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift and operate mitigation equipment safely. On-call shifts and travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse, construction, or industrial environment.
  • Preferred: restoration or mitigation experience (water, fire, mold).
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism with customers.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work after-hours or on-call shifts.
  • Ability to lift, move, and operate mitigation equipment safely.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Clean background suitable for entering customer homes and disaster-affected properties.
  • Regular exposure to water-damaged, mold-affected, or fire-damaged environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all mitigation services offered by the company.
  • Follow Foreman’s instructions and IICRC standards.
  • Document jobs with dash notes and photos as required.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Maintain basic equipment and decontaminate tools.
  • Maintain company vehicles and perform basic maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot onsite equipment issues.
  • Carry out the scope of work defined by the Mitigation Foreman.
  • Keep daily equipment and supplies inventory in vehicles.
  • Attend departmental and company meetings as required.
  • Maintain containment and environmental controls.

Cavalry Construction & Restoration is a local company specializing in Mitigation and Restoration for both residential and commercial customers. As a provider of water, mold, and fire damage property mitigation and restoration services, we are professional, agile, and our goal is to treat every customer to a 5-star experience.

Cavalry Construction has an immediate opening for a full-time Mitigation Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience in water damage restoration, mold remediation, and fire restoration.

The role of Mitigation Technician requires professionalism, prompt response, attention to detail, and strong communication as you assist customers during stressful property damage situations

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Effectively Perform all Mitigation Services the Company Offers
  • Complete Tasks as Assigned by Foreman to IICRC Standards
  • Jobsite Documentation as Assigned by Foreman – i.e. – Dash, Notes, Pictures
  • Communicate Effectively w/Customers
  • Perform Basic Equipment Maintenance, Decontaminating Equipment
  • Perform Basic Vehicle Maintenance
  • Troubleshooting Onsite Equipment Issues
  • Execute Scope of Work Given by Mitigation Foreman
  • Daily Checklist of Equipment & Supplies in Vehicles
  • Attend Departmental and Company Meetings as Required
  • Maintaining the Integrity of the Containment & Environmental Controls
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles
  • Maintaining Jobsite Safety Including Wearing Proper PPE
  • Maintaining Jobsite Cleanliness & Protecting Customer’s Possessions
