1-800 WATER DAMAGE of Vancouver, WA / Portland, OR seeks a dedicated Mitigation Technician to assist in water, fire, smoke, and mold restoration. You will perform mitigation, cleanup, and equipment setup while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities include executing water extraction, drying, deodorizing, and documentation, with on-call shifts, nights, weekends, and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, construction, or related fields preferred.
• Must be eligible to operate a motor vehicle per company policy.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• IICRC certifications (e.g., Water Damage Mitigation Technician).

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire/smoke/mold remediation, and debris removal.
• Set up, monitor, and maintain drying and air filtration equipment.
• Clean and deodorize affected properties using industry-approved techniques and equipment.
• Assist in demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary.
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and restoration equipment.
• Follow all company safety protocols and industry best practices.
• Provide professional and compassionate service to clients during stressful situations.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and customers.
• Accurately document work performed, including before-and-after photos and job progress.
• Adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.
• Must be available to work on-call, nights, weekends, and occasional travel.
• Participation in company-sponsored training and certifications is required.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Mitigation Technician to join our team. This role involves assisting in the remediation and restoration of properties affected by water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. The technician will be responsible for mitigation, cleanup, demolition, and equipment setup while ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Restoration & Mitigation:

• Ability to work in various conditions, including water-damaged or fire-affected environments.

• Comfortable using protective gear such as respirators and Tyvek suits when necessary.
