Job summary

ServiceMaster Emergency Management Team is seeking an experienced Mitigation Estimator to support restoration operations across Southern California and Nevada. The role focuses on on-site inspections, accurate estimates, and collaboration with adjusters, property managers, and clients to secure timely approvals and project execution.

The ideal candidate brings strong field knowledge of insurance-driven mitigation scopes, a proven ability to produce clear, defensible estimates, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience estimating mitigation/restoration work.
• Strong working knowledge of Xactimate (required).
• Understanding of water categories, drying principles, and mold protocols.
• Familiarity with insurance claims processes and adjuster communication.
• Professional communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections for water and mold losses.
• Develop mitigation and demolition estimates using Xactimate.
• Identify scope based on loss category and industry best practices.
• Prepare estimates, documentation, photos, and reports.
• Communicate with adjusters, property managers, homeowners.
• Support operations with scope clarification and change orders.
• Assist with moisture mapping and job file compliance.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for testing (asbestos, mold, lead).
• Ensure estimates align with carrier guidelines and company standards.

We are looking for high quality, team-oriented individuals for our Restoration Estimating Department.

We are seeking an experienced Mitigation Estimator to support our restoration operations. This role is responsible for coordinating losses, developing accurate mitigation estimates, and working closely with operations teams, adjusters, and clients to ensure timely approvals and execution. The ideal candidate has strong field knowledge, understands insurance-driven mitigation scopes, and can produce clear, defensible estimates aligned with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections for water, mold losses
