The Department of Radiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a dynamic Radiologist to join our growing Division of Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics (MIT). This is an outstanding opportunity to practice at one of the nation’s top public universities, renowned for excellence in patient care, research, and education.

At UNC, you’ll become part of a collaborative academic medical center committed to advancing theranostics, molecular imaging, and innovative therapies. With a rapidly expanding theranostic program, we are looking for a faculty member who not only delivers excellent clinical care but also brings vision and leadership to program development.

This position plays a key role in launching and expanding UNC’s Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (RPT) Program, spanning both UNC Hospital Medical Center and UNC Raleigh Cancer Center.

In collaboration with Radiation Oncology, you’ll help:

• Build and scale theranostics services
• Oversee clinical operations and quality initiatives
• Advance education and program development

Qualified candidates may be considered for a leadership role as Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Co-Director.

The Position

• Open rank, fixed-term faculty appointment (Instructor through Professor, commensurate with experience).
• Clinical focus on Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, including PET/CT (with cardiac PET/CT), SPECT/CT, PET/MR, and radionuclide therapy.
• Opportunities to contribute to multidisciplinary conferences, resident and fellow education, and cutting-edge research.
• Access to world-class facilities, including a GMP-compliant cyclotron and advanced radiochemistry labs at UNC’s Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC).

Ideal Candidate

• Fellowship-trained in Nuclear Medicine (or with equivalent clinical expertise).
