Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to support mission-critical dataflow and operational systems. You will develop, configure, and maintain dataflows with Apache NiFi, modernize legacy capabilities, and ensure real-time mission data delivery to end users.

The role emphasizes Linux environments, system architecture work, and collaboration with operations and mission stakeholders. A TS/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph is required, with on-call rotation after initial

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
Ten years of Systems Engineering experience on programs of similar scope.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related.
Five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Review and process Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs) and implement efficient, reliable dataflow solutions.
Create, configure, manage, and maintain dataflows using Apache NiFi.
Manage and support operational systems that process, route, and maintain mission data.
Evaluate existing dataflows and identify opportunities for modernization and reliability.
Support migration of dataflows from hardware to virtualized and cloud platforms.
Develop technical requirements for new or modernized dataflow capabilities.
Rebuild and validate dataflows with operations teams and stakeholders.
Support analytical requirements and evolving mission needs.
Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams showing components, interfaces, dataflows, and functions.
Support Linux-based software configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Monitor and troubleshoot operational systems and dataflow performance.
Coordinate with engineers, operations personnel, analysts, and mission stakeholders for availability and data delivery.
Drive continuous improvement of dataflow processes and reliability.
Participate in on-call support after six months of training.
