Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer in the United States to manage a portfolio of systems and lead enterprise IPTs. You will develop system requirements from user needs and lead design, development, and certification activities while ensuring technical integrity across deliverables.

You will interact with government stakeholders, prepare architecture documentation, and guide planning and testing efforts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI clearance with FULL SCOPE polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• FOURTEEN (14) or more years' experience as a Systems Engineer in mission-oriented programs desired.

Responsibilities

• Guide users in formulating requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Develop technical documentation including system architecture and design docs.
• Guide system development and implementation planning with system engineering management and test plans.
• Interact with Government regarding systems engineering considerations and issues.
• Maintain technical integrity of work and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area.
• Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

What You Will Do

The Mission Systems Engineer will manage a portfolio of systems and support enterprise Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) responsible for implementing system compliance controls by generating requirements and approving controls and certifications. Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The Mission Systems Engineer analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.

Responsibilities

• Guiding users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.


• Providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.


• Develops technical documentation.


• Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.


• Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.


• Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.


• Has ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.


• Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

What You Will Need

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a FULL SCOPE (FS/FSP) polygraph


• Bachelor's degree


• FOURTEEN (14) or more years' experience as a Systems Engineer in mission-oriented programs

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Excel in written and oral communications with diverse stakeholders leveraging in-person, email, and virtual (video) channels


• Manage knowledge and workflow in Jira and Confluence tools


• Work collaboratively with Integrated Product Teams to achieve architectural and software development solutions


• Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations


• Develop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis


• Derive from the system requirements an understanding of stakeholder needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
