Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Mission Software Engineer for Vehicle Software frontend in Costa Mesa, CA. The role focuses on building a real-time, map-based interface to display sensor data and command assets, with large data streams and immersive image experiences in a web platform.

You will collaborate across teams, own initial projects, and balance user needs with engineering constraints. U.S. Top Secret clearance eligible; travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Electrical Engineering, related technical degree, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working on frontend applications, preferably data-intensive or map-based systems.
• Experience with React.
• Broad experience in delivering functional outcomes.
• A mindset towards innovative approaches of problem solving.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) is responsible for autonomous robotics systems like the Fury unmanned fighter jet and the Barracuda family of advanced effects. The AD&S Vehicle Software team is responsible for the software running on these systems. Our software engineers collaborate with other engineering disciplines to develop software for vehicle control, networking, sensor integration, and telemetry. We are looking for engineers excited to build the foundational vehicle software stack that supports the wide range of AD&S initiatives, from early concept simulation to first flight to live operations to large scale fleet management.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, build, and deploy a real-time, map-based interface for displaying and interacting with sensor data and commanding physical assets
• Fetch and manage large streams of data while maintaining performant rendering in a low-friction user experience
• Build and design immersive image-viewing experiences in a web-based platform
• Take ownership of initial, well-scoped projects with clear objectives. Work closely with colleagues to deliver results, understanding the importance of teamwork in achieving success.
• Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints
• Travel up to 15% of time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
• Degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Electrical Engineering, related technical degree, or equivalent experience
• Experience working on frontend applications, preferably data-intensive or map-based systems
• Experience with React
• Broad experience in delivering functional outcomes
• A mindset towards innovative approaches of problem solving

US Salary Range

$166,000 - $220,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
