Mission Operations Engineer – Ground Systems
Status: Full Time, Exempt
Reports to: Chief of Mission Operations
Who Are We:
Sceye is a high-growth technology company, building the next generation of instant communications, imaging and remote sensing infrastructure through stratospheric platforms.
Our lighter-than-air high-altitude platform systems (LTA HAPS) are capable of maintaining position over an operational area in the stratosphere (altitudes of 18 – 21km). They can carry multiple telecommunications, imaging and remote sensing payloads, providing unique functionality, cost, environmental and societal advantages.
Our HAPS can be deployed in a matter of days and at a fraction of the cost of traditional infrastructure solutions. This makes them an ideal solution for providing telecommunications connectivity, emergency solutions in the event of natural or other disasters, environmental and infrastructure monitoring, Earth observation and a range of defense applications.

About the Position:
Sceye is seeking a full-time Operations Engineer – Ground Systems to join our Mission Operations Team. This role is pivotal in developing, maintaining, and operating mission-critical ground systems—both hardware and software—that support Sceye’s lighter-than-air High Altitude Platform System (HAPS). You’ll collaborate closely with Mission Operations, Software, and Engineering teams to design, build, test, and operate the next generation of Sceye’s ground systems. In addition to technical development, you’ll support pre-flight planning, console operations during missions, and post-flight data analysis. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands‑on system work, and wants to directly influence the performance, safety, and reliability of next‑generation aerospace systems. (Salary commensurate with education and experience)
