Brass Tracks is seeking a Mission Manager to own customer and mission outcomes on its Mission Success team. You will connect engineering and product teams with military units, building trusted relationships, understanding operational needs, and turning mission problems into actionable engineering work.
You will spend significant time with customers in deployments and exercises, ensuring the software delivers measurable value for logistics and sustainment.
Our client builds mission-critical software for military logistics and sustainment, helping the U.S. military and its allies get fuel, ammunition, parts, and people where they need to be, when they need to be there.
Modern forces must manage these needs in environments where communications are unreliable and supply routes are contested. Too much of that work still runs on whiteboards and spreadsheets. The company’s flagship platform uses AI to give commanders a shared, real-time view of inventory, distribution, medical needs, and operational planning. It combines software, AI tools, and tracking tags and sensors to improve visibility. The platform has been deployed with U.S. Army and Marine Corps units during major military exercises.
The company recently raised a $43 million Series A and is backed by leading venture capital firms and experienced defense technology executives. Its team of roughly 60 people combines engineering talent from Anduril, Meta, AWS, and Vannevar with deep operational experience; approximately 60% of employees are veterans. The company is headquartered in the Washington, DC area, with employee hubs in New York City and Seattle.
Our client is hiring a Mission Manager to own customer and mission outcomes on its Mission Success team. This person connects the company’s engineering and product teams with the military units using its software.
You will build trusted relationships with military customers, learn their operational needs firsthand, and turn mission problems into clear product requirements, priorities, and actionable engineering work. When something breaks in the field, you will help troubleshoot it and drive it to resolution.
You will spend a meaningful share of your time with customers on installations, at exercises, and supporting deployments. Success means military users trust you, engineers receive useful operational context, and the software becomes measurably better at supporting logistics and sustainment missions.
Our client seeks a military veteran who has owned outcomes for customers, programs, or products and is ready to bring that experience to a growing software team.
The ideal candidate understands how military organizations operate and can engage credibly with operators, logisticians, and government stakeholders. They bring meaningful experience in at least one of three areas: business development and growth, customer relationship management, or product management. Program or product management experience is especially valuable.
This person investigates the underlying need behind a customer request and follows through on the solution. They are technically fluent enough to understand software problems, ask engineers useful questions, and help drive improvements without needing to be the primary engineer.
They work comfortably without a rigid playbook, move between strategic conversations and hands‑on troubleshooting, and are motivated by improving military logistics and sustainment.
This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Rosslyn, Virginia (Arlington), or Seattle, Washington, with approximately 25–50% travel for customer engagements, deployments, and mission support.
A Secret or Top Secret clearance is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents; visa sponsorship is not available.
Base salary: $140,000–$200,000, depending on experience. The company includes competitive equity grants in most full‑time offers as part of total compensation.
