Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer (Starshield) to lead and integrate system trades across launch vehicles, spacecraft, and sensors for government and national security missions.

You will be a core contact for customers from early capability studies through launch and on-orbit activation, supporting proposals and ensuring on-time contract deliverables, with opportunities to influence designs and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• 1+ years of experience with product design, development, manufacturing, integration, and/or test.
• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
• 3+ years of technical project management experience with US government, NASA, or commercial spacecraft entities.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results across multiple priorities.
• Experience in spacecraft mission design, development, integration, and/or test.
• Proactive, self-starter with high-paced environment adaptability.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Commitment to process improvement and system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and integrate system trades of launch vehicles, spacecraft, and sensors.
• Analyze solutions to meet mission needs and develop interfaces at multiple levels.
• Define interfaces, test plans, and operational procedures with stakeholders.
• Drive program success with internal and external teams across boundaries.
• Educate customers on designs and methodologies throughout program.
