Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Data Science Lead to support mission requirements for a structured approach to develop, integrate, and sustain a scalable, federated data ecosystem that enhances interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics for a DoD customer.

The contractor will oversee the development, deployment, and evaluation of predictive and prescriptive analytics, establish a framework for DS vs DE tasks, and coordinate access to GPU-accelerated compute and high-performance storage for

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance required.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, AI, CS, or related field, or 11+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise-level predictive analytics with governance.
• Experience with agile sprints and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Databricks).
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, deployment, and evaluation of predictive and prescriptive analytics to align with mission objectives.
• Establish a structured framework to differentiate data science and data engineering tasks.
• Submit the Predictive Analytics Strategy & Implementation Report detailing model progress and validation.
• Coordinate access to compute and storage for large-scale model training and analytics workloads (GPU, HPC, object storage).
• Drive collaboration between data science and data engineering teams through Agile practices.
