Job summary

IPTA is seeking a driven AI Infrastructure Engineer to support design, evaluation, and advancement of AI-enabled applications and workflows. You will work hands-on with large language models, agentic orchestration, and supporting software infrastructure to develop practical solutions.

The ideal candidate prototyping ideas, exploring new frameworks, and communicating technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers and government stakeholders while staying current on rapid changes in the AI ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, DS, Math, or related field.
• 10 years of Enterprise IT experience.
• Experience designing and evaluating AI/ML-enabled apps.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs to engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for AI-enabled applications and tools.
• Advise on AI design, prototyping, integration, and evaluation.
• Assess models and frameworks including LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with platform engineers and government stakeholders.
• Stay current on rapid changes in the AI ecosystem and provide recommendations.
