Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead software projects across the lifecycle, collaborating with hardware and software teams. Qualifications

Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a Government security clearance if needed.
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of software development experience.
Expert at Java and multi-threaded programming.
Expert problem-solving and debugging skills.
Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

Lead software engineering activities across requirements, design, implementation, and testing.
Develop and sustain applications using Java on Ubuntu 22.04.
Collaborate with internal hardware and software teams and subcontractors.
Estimate, track, and report scope and effort for tasks.
Manage and coordinate tasks for an engineering team.
Ensure documentation and code quality through reviews and unit tests.
