Vitalant in Scottsdale seeks a Senior Accountant to maintain financial integrity across the organization. You will support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations, while preparing reports and journal entries.

The role requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with leaders at all levels. A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of accounting experience are required; CPA or in progress is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting required.
• Three years of accounting experience required.
• CPA or CPA in progress preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and other financial tools and systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilités

• Provide accounting support across multiple areas of the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Prepare statistical, financial and ad hoc reports.
• Review detailed financial transactions and record necessary adjustments.
• Analyze financial statement variances, identify omitted entries and recognize the need for accruals.
• Prepare journal entries for monthly financial activity.
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and bank accounts and recommend appropriate adjustments.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax, business license, property tax and other governmental filings, escalating tax issues when appropriate.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
