Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including full-cycle general ledger and month-end close ownership.
• Strong command of GAAP and experience with the annual audit process.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Demonstrated accuracy, discretion, and sound judgment handling confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring accurate recording of transactions per GAAP and nonprofit standards.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and banking relationships.
• Lead month-end close and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting for the Finance Committee and Board.
• Stabilize and optimize cloud-based accounting platform (QuickBooks Online) and develop dashboards for leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Five or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including full-cycle general ledger and month-end close ownership

CPA or CMA designation

Experience with GAAP and external audit processes

Proficiency with accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills

Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets & Docs) and cloud-based systems
