Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store seeks a friendly Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service, operate the register, and keep the store organized. You will work 25 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, contributing to a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

Paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills are offered within a mission-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• Friendly, motivated, and dependable; provides great customer service.
• Ability to greet customers, process transactions, and operate the register accurately.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately.
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy.
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise.
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized.
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
