Job summary

The Salvation Army – Adult Rehabilitation Centers Command is seeking a Store Sales Associate I for its thrift store. You will deliver excellent customer service, greet donors, and assist with transactions at the register, while operating the POS and balancing cash drawers.

Maintain clean, organized aisles and ensure merchandise is displayed and replenished regularly. Qualifications include a high school diploma (or in progress), retail/cashier experience preferred, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, cashiering, or customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn store POS.
• Ability to communicate clearly with donors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and represent The Salvation Army’s mission and values.
• Greet donors and shoppers, assist with transactions at the register.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash accurately.
• Open, close, and balance cash drawers per cash handling policies.
• Keep store clean and organized by restocking and straightening racks.
• Display merchandise properly and replenish regularly.
• Follow policies for donated goods and work with team members.
