Job summary

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent; paralegal studies preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel to 12-county service area as needed.
• Strong customer service and professional phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client intake and assist clients with applications.
• Determine clients' financial eligibility and refer to program services.
• Maintain active case files and calendars for attorneys and paralegals.
• Draft pleadings, letters, and other legal documents as directed.
• Input data and access forms using Lexis/Westlaw and related software.
• Assist in gathering information for hearings and discovery.
• Provide receptionist relief and support other staff when needed.
• Engage in outreach and fundraising activities as assigned.
• Ensure office supplies and equipment are managed and maintained.
