Job summary

The West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT) in Grand Rapids, Michigan seeks an Operations Manager to oversee internal operations, technology assets, facilities, payroll backup, and HR support, with front-desk coverage as needed.

You will work with leadership to streamline workflows, manage vendors, and maintain secure systems while fostering an inclusive, mission-driven workplace that serves students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience managing relationships with vendors or contractors.
• Basic technology troubleshooting skills and comfort supporting others with tech issues.
• Experience with HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, or benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily administrative and operational activities across departments.
• Develop and implement systems to improve workflows and cross-organizational communication.
• Manage facilities-related vendor relationships, contracts and standards.
• Support hiring, onboarding, open enrollment, and performance review processes.
• Serve as a payroll backup and assist with data entry and audits.
