Job summary

The Sisters of Mercy is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support safe, welcoming environments on our campus in Dallas, PA. This role requires upkeep of building systems, preventative maintenance, and on-call responsiveness to emergencies.

You will collaborate with internal teams and outside contractors, perform repairs, and maintain a clean, compliant work environment while upholding the mission-driven values of the organization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade school cert in a maintenance field or equivalent experience.
• Three years of building and equipment repair experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to be on call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled repairs in plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and complete work orders efficiently.
• Inspect, test, and coordinate maintenance for fire alarms and elevators.
• Prepare and complete painting projects across a variety of surfaces.
• Diagnose and repair faulty electrical circuits and equipment.
• Keep spaces clean, safe, and free of hazards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors.
• Follow safety procedures, identify potential risks, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Communicate professionally with staff, residents, families, and visitors.
• Respond to on-call needs, including weekends and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
