Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in Virginia is seeking a data engineer to organize data from disparate sources and build pipelines that drive insights for mission-focused work, from fraud detection to national intelligence. You will deploy scalable ETL/ELT workflows and contribute to sophisticated data platforms.

You’ll collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and developers in a fast-paced, agile setting, guiding data assessment, design, and maintenance for client success and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
• 3+ years of experience building scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Experience working in a collaborative cross-functional team.
• Experience using version control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Ability to develop scripts to convert data into usable formats and scale data platforms.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy data pipelines and platforms for clients.
• Guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers.
• Manage assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable data platforms.
• Work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
