Stand Together seeks a strong copy editor to elevate writing quality and maintain content integrity across platforms. You will refine content, ensure adherence to a style guide, and coach authors while collaborating with internal stakeholders to uphold the organization’s voice and standards.

Ideal candidates bring journalism or communications background, experience refining complex information for diverse audiences, and a collaborative approach to managing editorial workflows and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a copyediting role, preferably in a fast-paced editorial environment.
• Strong understanding of digital content creation, with ability to distill complex information into engaging content.
• Excellent command of language and ability to enforce style guide standards.
• Ability to evaluate copy for voice and tone for different audiences, including donors.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to foster a team environment focused on innovation and excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Enhance content quality, elevating copy from good to great through meticulous editing and storytelling understanding.
• Maintain and develop Stand Together's style guide as a standards-based quality benchmark across content.
• Collaborate across teams, guiding writers and editors to reflect Stand Together's voice and high standards.
• Manage content workflows and processes to optimize efficiency and align with organizational goals.
• Proactively engage with content creators, challenging and supporting resources use to maximize impact.
