Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks an Associate Embedded Software Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test cockpit display software. You will work on embedded, real-time systems with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, contributing to mission-critical subsystems.

Roles may be at Associate Software Engineer level 1 or Software Engineer level 2. Strong Java, C++, Python skills and Security/SAP clearance are required for consideration,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with developing software and scripts in Java, Object Oriented C++ AND/OR Python.
  • Familiarity with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools such as: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, AND/OR GitHub.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to our customers.
  • Operate in an embedded technology development environment working with real time operating systems for use in flight and safety mission critical subsystems.
  • Work in Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselines.
