Job summary

GDIT seeks a Technical Editor to oversee publication of complex programs and support NETCOM in creating and publishing technical manuals. You will coordinate layouts, ensure accuracy, and adhere to Army and NETCOM standards with a blend of linguistic precision and technical understanding.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, the ability to create or modify graphics, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and desktop publishing tools; security clearance is Secret.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate of Arts/Bachelor of Science (will consider equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree).
• 2+ years of related experience.
• ITIL 4 Foundation Certification is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex programs and drive publication of technical documentation and manuals.
• Collaborate with NETCOM G3/5 to proofread, review, revise, and edit technical information for contractors and government employees.
• Ensure information is accurate, clear, and compliant with government standards (Army regulations and NETCOM standards).
• Utilize Microsoft Office and Adobe; desktop publishing, multimedia production, and online documentation software; strong writing, editing, proofreading, and page composition skills.
