Job summary

Leidos seeks a Systems Engineer to support the AFSOC ROC program at Hurlburt Field. The role is embedded in a fast-paced environment where engineering decisions impact mission execution and mission systems sustainment.

You will work with operators and partners to design, integrate, test, and deploy DoD IT systems, including VMware ESXi/vCenter/Horizon, VDI, Windows and Linux, and container platforms such as Kubernetes.

Qualifications

BS in Systems Engineering, CS, IT or related field with 4–8 years’ experience (or MS with 2–6).
Current TS/SCI security clearance
Security+ CE (IAT Level II)
Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, Horizon, vSAN, App Volumes
Experience managing and troubleshooting VDI environments
Proficiency with Windows Server, Windows workstations, and Red Hat Linux

Responsibilities

Engineer, integrate, test, and sustain DoD IT systems supporting AFSOC RPA operations
Deploy and maintain VMware ESXi, vCenter, Horizon, vSAN, and App Volumes across sites
Refine VDI environments for mission-ready performance
Integrate new software and containerized solutions (Kubernetes, Docker)
Execute field deployments, system upgrades, and modernization efforts
Restore baselines and resolve issues impacting mission continuity
Collaborate with operators and mission partners to refine requirements
Develop test plans to verify system functionality and readiness
