Qualifications

• Education in cybersecurity, IT, or related field; experience may substitute.
• 1–5 years in systems administration or desktop support.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required.
• RHCSA or equivalent Red Hat/Linux certification.
• Experience with Windows desktop/server OS.
• VMware vSphere and backups experience preferred.
• Knowledge of STIGs and IA requirements.
• Able to obtain/maintain US government SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Windows and Linux system administration and desktop support for users, systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and update system hardware and software.
• Administer and maintain RHEL environments, including patching and configuration.
• Support and maintain VMware vSphere and enterprise backup environments.
• Perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIG compliance.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, OS, application, and peripheral issues.
• Perform system backups and support installation, recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Support cybersecurity activities, including testing safeguards and advisories.
• Provide direct technical support to customers and document issues.
• Support lab operations including inventory and access-control.
