Job summary

Quantum Sky Engineering LLC in the United States is seeking a Quantum Algorithm Developer to design and optimize quantum workloads for mission-critical defense and intelligence operations. This role bridges advanced quantum concepts to practical, deployable solutions.

The successful candidate will develop QAOA, VQE, QML, QFT, Grover’s search, and fault-tolerant algorithms, collaborating with engineers, scientists, and government stakeholders on proof-of-concept work and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance.
• PhD or Master’s degree in a technical field (Quantum/CS/Math).
• 2–5+ years of experience developing quantum algorithms or software.
• Experience building quantum or hybrid classical-quantum algorithms for practical use cases.
• Proficiency with one or more quantum frameworks (Qiskit/PennyLane/Cirq/CUDA‑Q/Amazon Braket).
• Python programming experience.
• Strong understanding of quantum circuits, gates, optimization, emulation, and variational methods.
• Familiarity with NISQ-era devices and error mitigation/correction.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize quantum and hybrid algorithms for mission-relevant applications.
• Implement algorithms using leading quantum software frameworks and hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into software and mission architectures.
• Develop and evaluate QAOA, VQE, QML, QFT, Grover’s search, and related algorithms.
• Contribute to fault-tolerant algorithm development for hybrid workflows.
