Job description

Position: QA Foreman

Reports To: MC - QA Superintendent

Position Summary

Directly supervise, manage, and coordinate activities of electricians, apprentices, helpers, and temporary workers.

Essential Functions
  • Lead by example.
  • Overlook the crew and direct work in logical steps, budgeting time required to meet deadlines and coordinate with Superintendent and other trades foreman’s to ensure compliance with the overall project schedule.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and assign the activities of electricians, apprentices, helpers, and temporary workers.
Training and Development
  • Assist Superintendent with review processes for both Adams employees and associates.
  • Work on improving computer and iPad skills.
  • Continue education.
  • Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Read specifications and blueprints to plan procedures and determine construction requirements.
Requirements
Scheduling
  • Work with Superintendent on maintaining schedules related to current projects.
  • Interpret and track project schedules to provide a two‑week look‑ahead and forecast manpower requirements based on project goals and schedule.
Material Management / Jobsite Logistics
  • Oversee and work with Superintendent on creating and maintaining material management plans related to current projects.
  • Work with Superintendent to maintain material and jobsite logistics plans.
  • Prepare material on time.
Safety
  • Work with Superintendent and other foreman’s to create and maintain safety plans related to current projects.
  • Work with the on‑site safety manager to develop safety plans for each task.
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and ensure specifications are met.
  • Prepare and provide documents such as Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis, and safety reports.
Quality Control
  • Work with the on‑site QA/QC Manager to develop the QA/QC plan for each task.
  • Work with the QA/QC Manager to resolve all QA/QC issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work is installed on time and that the quality of installation meets Adams Electric Company standards.
BIM / Design
  • Assist Superintendent in leading layout efforts for BIM prior to the project.
  • Together with Superintendent review drawings throughout the process to ensure quality control.
  • Develop open communication with the BIM department and share ideas.
Pre‑Fabrication
  • Oversee and maintain the pre‑fabrication plan for current projects.
  • Work with Superintendent on managing the installation schedule.
  • Share ideas with the pre‑fabrication foreman.
  • Get creative.
Position Qualifications
Education, Training and Certifications
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • OSHA 30.
  • Licensure as an electrician or 4–10 years of related experience or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Working Conditions
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (hard hat, vest, protective eyewear, safety boots).
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening process.
