Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Core Technician to support a mission-critical communications infrastructure in Washington, D.C. onsite.

The role focuses on installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Motorola P25 radio systems that support federal operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on Motorola LMR experience, strong RF knowledge, and the ability to support field deployments and preventative maintenance, ensuring system reliability and secure communications for mission

Qualifications

• 3+ years troubleshooting Motorola LMR systems.
• Hands-on experience supporting Motorola P25 radio infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of RF communications and radio network operations.
• Experience with radio site deployment, maintenance and operational support.
• Effective communication with technical teams, customers and stakeholders.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Motorola P25 radio infrastructure and equipment.
• Build, stage, test, and deploy radio site packages for operational and customer requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on radio sites to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve radio infrastructure issues at customer and field locations.
• Prepare communications equipment for events, special operations, and emergency deployments.
• Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and performance validation activities.
• Document maintenance procedures, deployment activities, and technical findings.
