Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Facilities Tech Support – Telecom Team WEST in Albuquerque, NM to maintain and optimize critical infrastructure supporting NAS and BNATCS. You will lead installation, testing, and maintenance of telecom equipment while ensuring high uptime across multiple FAA sites.

The role demands 8+ years in facilities engineering, a relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), and strong knowledge of HVAC, power, cabling standards, and security practices.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 8+ years of experience in facilities engineering/management.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or alternative 4 years of experience.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing designs and contractor work for compliance with standards.
• Knowledge of regulatory and safety frameworks for critical infrastructure.
• Background in physical security standards for facilities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Monitor, maintain, and optimize facilities, including generators, HVAC, racks, cabling, and site security.
• Vendor Escort Oversight: Escort operations personnel to monitor visitors and ensure security of critical infrastructure.
• System Installation & Maintenance: Lead installation, testing, and maintenance of telecom equipment such as switches and fiber cabling.
• Power Systems Oversight: Maintain and troubleshoot DC power systems, rectifiers, and battery backups.
