Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Critical Facilities Assessment Engineer in the Fort Belvoir, VA area to support mission assurance and reliability of critical infrastructure.

You will assess buildings, facilities, and supporting systems, identify vulnerabilities, and develop recommendations to improve resilience and continuity of operations. The role requires an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, facilities engineering, construction engineering, architectural engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience assessing buildings, facilities, infrastructure, or critical facility systems.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability, resilience, and survivability assessments of buildings and infrastructure.
• Evaluate facility systems including electrical, HVAC, fire protection, communications, water, and fuel.
• Review drawings, maintenance records, emergency plans, and other technical data.
• Interview facility managers, engineers, and government stakeholders; identify vulnerabilities and potential cascading impacts.
• Develop practical recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities and prepare assessment reports and briefings.
