Responsibilities
- Assist electricians and crew members in the installation of electrical systems and components
- Work with tools, install conduit, wire, junction boxes, and electrical lighting
- Keep materials, tools, and equipment organized; maintain a clean work area
- Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment
- Learn and perform tasks as instructed by foreman/crew leader
- Gather and transport required tools and materials to assigned work areas
- Provide assistance to more skilled workers involved in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Perform physically demanding tasks as needed (e.g., digging trenches, lifting heavy objects)
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts
- Be a dependable team player and maintain promptness
- Follow Adams Safety Program and practice safe working habits
- Maintain the required hand tools as listed by Adams Electric Helpers’ tool list
Position Qualifications
Education, Training and Certifications
- High School Graduate or GED; or equivalent studies
- Previous electrical work experience preferred
Working Conditions
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (hard hat, vest, protective eyewear, safety boots)
- Indoor and outdoor work; exposure to cold, heat, moisture, and wind
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift at least 50 lbs
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing and background screening
