Job summary

Ace Electric, Inc. is seeking a Mission Critical Quality / Commissioning Technician I to support project teams with quality control programs.

You will assist in documenting logs, plans, and checklists, and collaborate with field and management to implement quality and commissioning activities. The role requires 0-1 years in electrical construction or QC/commissioning, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in dynamic environments, with potential overtime and occasional night shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of building codes including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, submittals and diagrams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook for document creation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the quality culture and coach learning to improve project efficiency and quality.
• Identify areas for improvement while following best practices to enhance operations.
• Support QCx programs on projects, including site quality plans and procedures.
• Assist in verifying OFCI equipment conformance with submittals and protection plans.
• Aid in FOD inspections prior to energization on MV/LV switchgear and equipment.
• Assist with the FTE process from start to finish.
• Torque bolts to specified tolerances and ensure safe assembly.
• Conduct megger testing for insulation resistance and safety compliance.
• Maintain inspection and torque/megger reports and related records.
• Contribute to daily quality reports and assist corrective actions.
• Support investigations into quality incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Identify quality risks in Mission Critical operations.
