Job summary

ARCO/Murray is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of mission-critical facilities, including hyperscale data centers. This role will develop practical electrical designs, coordinate with internal and external project partners, and provide technical support throughout procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, collaborative, and can translate project requirements into coordinated, constructible electrical systems

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
3–8 years of electrical engineering experience in mission-critical, data center, or high-reliability facilities.
Experience with medium- and low-voltage distribution and emergency power systems.
Ability to interpret drawings, specs, equipment data and studies.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit; ETAP/SKM/EasyPower or similar tools.
Understanding of construction methods, procurement, commissioning, and field coordination.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; willingness to travel to site locations.

Responsibilities

Develop and review electrical designs for MV and LV power distribution.
Prepare one-line diagrams, schematics, equipment schedules, load summaries, and feeder data.
Support utility services, substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, and emergency power.
Conduct load-flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, and sizing studies.
Coordinate electrical designs with architecture, structure, mechanical, controls and fire protection teams.
Participate in BIM coordination, design reviews, constructability reviews, and page-turns.
Review vendor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and proposed changes for compliance.
Collaborate with procurement and project teams on long-lead equipment; provide site support during install, start-up, testing, and commissioning.
Assist with troubleshooting, punch lists, functional testing, and turnover docs.
Apply NEC, NFPA, IEEE, local codes, and project specs; communicate decisions and risk clearly.
