Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Project Manager in Troy, NY to lead diverse teams from initiation to closeout, coordinating with clients, engineers, and vendors. You will prepare proposals, manage budgets and change orders, and ensure on-time delivery and quality across multiple projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in project/program management within engineering/construction, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of project/program management experience on large engineering/construction projects.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to successful completion within cost/time constraints.
• Strong written/oral communication; presenting to senior management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse disciplines.
• Clear, concise communication with senior management, clients and staff.
• Strategic, analytical thinking and decision-making.
• Ability to manage deadlines under pressure and adapt to change.
• Experience negotiating contract terms.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management software.
• Detail-oriented with multi-priority management.
• Familiarity reading drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Engineers, Designers and staff through project completion.
• Manage multiple medium to large projects concurrently to successful closeout.
• Prepare work plans, proposals, schedules, and secure approvals.
• Maintain regular client communications on status and quality, resolve issues.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, vendors and authorities.
• Track and report performance; manage change and cost reporting.
• Provide mentoring and leadership to project team; maintain project records.
• Schedule and chair project meetings; manage subconsultant agreements.
