Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Critical Facilities Technician to support operation and maintenance of mission-critical data center infrastructure in Frederick, MD. You will work across electrical, mechanical, BAS, and safety systems to ensure uptime and reliability.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, fire/life safety, and CMMS workflows, and can operate within a 24/7 schedule with 12-hour shifts and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience operating within a data center, critical facilities, industrial, manufacturing, military, or similar high-reliability environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, BAS, or related infrastructure.
• Strong commitment to safety, operational procedures, and quality workmanship.
• Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical facility infrastructure.
• Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain mission-critical equipment to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Execute all work in accordance with MOPs, SOPs, ERPs, and safety guidelines.
• Conduct routine facility rounds and monitor building systems for performance and efficiency.
