Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks staff for the Mission Control department at Texas Health Denton to transport patients and support central dispatch. Responsibilities include moving patients, delivering equipment, and monitoring critical systems to maintain smooth operations across care areas.

The role requires strong communication, a proactive approach, and basic Windows/PC skills; BCLS certification is required prior to independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 6 months related experience.
• Preferred: 6 months customer service.
• BCLS certification required before independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• Strong communication and professional attitude.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Knowledge of Windows/PC is helpful.
• Proactive problem solving and time management.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from care areas.
• Deliver and pick up patient care equipment, supplies, mail, and concierge services.
• Maintain par levels and clean equipment.
• Act as central dispatcher for Mission Control.
• Monitor RTLS, security cameras, and other systems.
• Ensure maintenance and repair of equipment; manage stock levels of supplies.
• Adhere to Universal Precautions policy.
• Accept additional duties as assigned by leadership.
• Assist patients in dressing for procedures.
• Deliver patient concierge services.

• Preferred Experience · 6 Months related experience
• Preferred · 6 Months customer service
• Certifications and Licenses · BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

What You Will Do

• Transports patients by the appropriate method to and from all patient care areas.
• Deliver and pick up patient care equipment, supplies, mail, patient concierge services and other supporting items throughout the hospital.
• Maintain par levels and cleans equipment in designated areas.
• Act as central dispatcher for Mission Control department.
• Monitors systems: RTLS, security cameras, HUGS, fire panel, generator annunciator, medical gas, and other systems associated with patient and materials movement.
• Secures necessary maintenance and repair of equipment and maintains adequate stock levels of supplies. May assist with inventory and ordering rental equipment, furniture and/or supplies for Mission Control.
• Adheres to Body Substance Isolation Universal Precaution Policy.
• Willingly accepts additional duties and tasks assigned by leadership.
• Assists patients in dressing appropriately for procedures.
• Deliver patient concierge services.
