Job summary

The National Reconnaissance Office is seeking a Mission Compliance Officer to support the Mission Compliance Group in ensuring statutory compliance and safeguarding civil rights in AI and emergent systems. You will guide monitors, coordinate with IC/DoD partners, and help implement training and standards across the NRO workforce.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of multiple intelligence disciplines and analytic methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Mission Compliance subject matter expert on behalf of the MCG Chief in GED
• Integrates and reviews compliance-related documentation and activities to ensure U.S. citizens’ rights are not violated
• Administers guidance to local Mission Compliance Monitors and provides a single pathway to the MCG
• Coordinates with IC and DoD Compliance functions and mission partners
• Develops and maintains NRO compliance standards and tailored training for the workforce
• Provides leadership with a comprehensive view of NRO's compliance posture
• Executes monitoring of internal controls for handling mission data and develops corrective actions
• Verifies handling of mission data and conducts risk surveys
• Guides post-event reviews of Intelligence Oversight and coordinates with partners
• Implements compliance solutions in high-risk areas and advances the program through communication
• Secures classified information per EO 13526 and performs additional duties as assigned
