Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to embed security across the War Data Platform, delivering defense-in-depth designs that translate RMF and STIG requirements into actionable architecture.

You will own IAM, network security zoning, data encryption strategies (at-rest/in-transit), and logging/monitoring architectures, working closely with Platform, Data, and Solutions Architects to ensure secure-by-design outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Cybersecurity, CS, IS, Data Science, SWE, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Expert knowledge designing security architectures for complex environments.
• Experience with RMF, STIG, Zero Trust, and defense in depth.

Responsibilities

• Embed security into every layer of the War Data Platform and design a defense-in-depth architecture.
• Own IAM framework design, network security zoning, and data encryption strategies (at-rest and in-transit).
• Define logging and monitoring architecture and ensure secure-by-design posture.
• Collaborate with Platform, Data, and Solutions Architects to integrate security early.

Job Description

The Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for embedding security into every layer of the War Data Platform by designing a comprehensive, defense‑in‑depth security architecture. Translate security requirements from the Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and SOC 1 controls into specific, implementable architectural patterns. Own the design of the platform's identity and access management (IAM) framework, network security zoning, data encryption strategies (at‑rest and in‑transit), and logging/monitoring architecture. The Cybersecurity Architect works proactively with the Platform, Data, and Solutions Architects to ensure the Client is "secure‑by‑design," not just secured as an afterthought.

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree (or an additional 4 years of equivalent experience) in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• 10 years of experience with cybersecurity

• Possesses expert knowledge designing and implementing security architectures for complex environments

• Experience with RMF, STIGs, Zero Trust, and defense in depth

Security Clearance:

• Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position
