Job summary

Noblis seeks an AI Engineer in McLean, VA to design and deploy AI/ML solutions for mission users, collaborating with data engineers to transform datasets for training and inference in secure environments.

You will build ML pipelines using Python, apply prompt engineering and RAG, and conduct rigorous testing and monitoring to ensure reliability and impact for national defense missions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and deploying production AI solutions supporting mission operations.
• Experience developing large language models (LLM), NLP, computer vision, and agentic AI applications in secure environments using Python and automated ML pipelines.
• Experience with prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning, model evaluation, A/B testing, and production monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mission users to elicit, analyze, and translate requirements into AI/ML solution designs.
• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions including LLMs, NLP, CV, and agentic AI in secure environments.
• Ingest, transform, and curate complex datasets for model training and inference.
• Build automated ML pipelines with Python, including prompt engineering and RAG.
• Conduct A/B testing, benchmarking, and monitoring of deployed models for reliability and accuracy.
• Automate analyst workflows by integrating AI tools into mission systems.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with security and accreditation requirements.
• Communicate findings and performance metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
